Goblin Korean Drama - Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun

We have a new trailer for the upcoming tvN drama Goblin starring Gong Yoo (Big), Kim Go Eun (Cheese in the Trap), Lee Dong Wook (Bubblegum), Yoo In Na (One More Happy Ending) and Yook Sung Jae (Village: Secret of Achiara). This one gives us our first look at the main couple together. We see Kim Go Eun making a birthday wish shortly followed by Gong Yoo appearing behind her.

It was another quick trailer, but at least we finally get too see our couple in the same scene. I can’t wait for some of the longer trailers tvN will likely put out.

Goblin is a fantasy romance about a modern day goblin (Gong Yoo) who wants to end his
immortal life and needs a human bride (Kim Go Eun) to do so.  He ends up living with a grim reaper (Lee Dong Wook) who has amnesia.  The drama will tell the story of the lives of those that see the souls of the dead to the afterlife. The drama comes from the writer of Descendants of the Sun.

Goblin is scheduled to premiere December 2 on tvN.

I recently saw a poll on Google plus about upcoming Korean Drama’s and what show people were most excited about. Strangely enough, this show was voted at the bottom. I was pretty surprised by this, as I really like the storyline of this one and am looking forward to it. This trailer is really short, so I am hoping for a longer trailer soon as well 😀

I would say I am both surprised and not surprised to hear that, lol. I know a lot of bloggers that aren’t too thrilled about it, but mostly that’s because of a dislike of the writer (same as Descendants of the Sun). People tend to love or hate the writer very strongly. But around a lot of the forums, there’s definitely a lot of excitement from people who like the writer as well as Gong Yoo. I really enjoy this writer and I love the premise, so I’m definitely in the excited camp. I don’t think it will be anything like DOTS, probably more like The Heirs with lots of angst and melodrama, but that’s all fine by me 🙂 Who came out on top in the poll?

I really liked and enjoyed Decendants of the Sun. I loved the chemistry between the leads, and there was just so much in the show that I liked. Humour, drama, tension, tears. It was just a great watch. So yeah I am also on the excited camp for Goblin. I actually forgot (I must really be getting old) so I had to find the poll again, but after some heavy scrolling ( lol) I fijne it again, and the winner is Legend of the Blue Sea (with a whopping 79% ) 😮

Well, that definitely doesn’t surprise me! Legend of the Blue Sea has lots to be excited about too including a power couple and a popular and generally more internationally well received writer. And being on network television, it has the potential to be a ratings giant. I couldn’t say which one I’m more excited for. Each writer has a distinct flavor that I enjoy and I like that they each have a fantasy element. Definitely looking forward to them both!

Yes, well it is hard to keep track of everything at the moment lol. Ever since I started blogging I have received so many good tips, it is becoming harder and harder to choose lol. But yeah these shows both have their appeal, but I just like the unique storyline of Goblin, so that at the moment is where my heart is most excited for. (Then again, the other show ofcourse is a close second lol )

I completely understand. When I started blogging, my list grew at lightning speed. There’s always someone raving about this drama or that drama, and it makes it so hard to choose sometimes. I definitely have those dramas on my “must watch” list, but there are so many good dramas out there I know would like, but it’s so hard to find the time to get them in. And I watch a lot of dramas! lol
