The Voice Korean Drama - Jang Hyuk

Jang Hyuk (Beautiful Mind) has now confirmed he will be starring in the new OCN crime thriller The Voice. He is joined by leading lady Lee Ha Na (Unkind Women). The Voice is about workers at a 112 emergency call center. When a serial killer starts killing their family members, they work together to catch the culprit.

Jang Hyuk plays a former star detective who tragically lost his wife, was demoted, and now works in a small precinct. He becomes obsessed with tracking down his wife’s murderer. Lee Ha Na plays a police officer working at the call center who lost her father to a murder.

With the cast now in place, things are ready to get rolling. Jang Hyuk starring means I pretty much have to give this drama a look, and I do like the premise. But as with any crime drama, it is a must for me for it to be more serialized and not fall into the simple case of the week format. Here’s hoping for a good one!

The Voice is looking to air in January 2017 on OCN.

Nice…..this is the kind of storyline I am definitely interested in. I at times like to watch some darker shows, and this seems right up my alley. I love My Beautiful Bride, which also could be pretty dark, so this is a must see for me 😀

Ooh, My Beautiful Bride was a fantastic watch! There were a lot of different aspects I liked about that drama. Have you seen that writer’s other popular drama called Heartless City? It has a similar crime thriller noir feel to it and was pretty good too. But I’m liking the premise for The Voice. If it has a good serialized back story coupled with Jang Hyuk, I’ll be a pretty happy camper 🙂

I loved My Beautiful Bride: the action was fantastic, it had a great story, and there were some cool twists and turns. The ending could have been a little better, but otherwise I very much enjoyed it. Yes, I have recently started with Heartless City, but have only seen episode 1 so far. Then came Wanted and Beautiful Mind, and I almost forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder 😀 I knew I was forgetting something. Yes, the Voice sounds terrific !

I really loved it too! There were so many different elements I enjoyed about it. I did like My Beautiful Bride a bit better than Heartless City, but Heartless City was still really great. It took a few episodes for me to really get into it, but then it was nice and twisty like My Beautiful Bride. Jung Kyung Ho is especially good in the lead role. He’s someone I generally love in comedic roles because he is hilarious, but he really is just as good at more serious and heavier roles like in Heartless City. Hopefully, you enjoy it when you get back around to it 🙂

I have already gotten back to it. As i said I completely forgot thatvI had started this one (the price you pay when watching too many things at once lol). But you are right, Jung Kyung Ho is very good: to be honest he is downright scary in this role 😂

Yep, it’s easy to lose track sometimes, lol. I think Jung Kyung Ho just gets better and better throughout the drama, so have fun!

Okay…the twists in this drama are absolutely amazing 😀 Just reached the end of episode 4 :he’s an undercover cop? Erm…what?!?…this is really good stuff 😀😀

Haha! Right? I didn’t see that one coming at all. It really changes how you see things and makes things more complicated. Definitely fun 🙂

I think my jaw really hit the floor when I saw that twist yesterday evening. I was sitting alone in my room and I actually said aloud:What?!? (Glad there were no Hidden cameras lol)

I actually think I ended up saying “What?!” out loud myself when I watched it too, lol. It was just such a surprise. Talk about a twist I never saw coming!
