Nam Goong Min Offered Lead Role in Korean Drama Rebel Hong Gil Dong

Rebel Hong Gil Dong Korean Drama - Nam Goong Min

Now I like this! Nam Goong Min (Beautiful Gong Shim) has been offered the leading role in the new MBC drama Rebel Hong Gil Dong. Rebel Hong Gil Dong is based on the classic Korean folktale about a man born to a nobleman and a concubine who becomes the leader of an outlaw group who steals from the rich to give to the poor.

Nam Goong Min would play our classic hero Hong Gil Dong. The drama comes from the writer of King’s Daughter Soo Baek Hyang and the PD of Kill Me, Heal Me.

I’ve been loving Nam Goong Min as of late both as a villain and a hero. I know he would add his unique charm to a role like this, so I’m really hoping he signs on!

Rebel Hong Gil Dong is looking to air in early 2017 on MBC.
