Scarlet Heart Goryeo Korean Drama - Lee Joon Gi, IU, Kang Ha Neul, Ji Soo, Nam Joo Hyuk

Well, it’s been an extremely long wait, but the big day has finally arrived! The new SBS drama Scarlet Heart: Goryeo (also titled Moon Lovers) starring Lee Joon Gi (Scholar Who Walks the Night) and IU (Producer) premieres tomorrow! It’s hard to believe after months of filming and months of promotions including teaser trailers and tons of gorgeous posters that the actual drama is finally ready to go. I’m so excited!!

We also have a 6 minute preview trailer, and it may just be my favorite one yet because of how well rounded it is. It includes IU being transported back in time and landing in the bath of a bunch of handsome princes!

After a little fun, we transition more into the romance aspect as well as some serious palace intrigue and action. It has a lot of great stuff to see. There’s even a little peek at Lee Joon Gi without the mask! Be sure to check it out below.

Scarlet Heart: Goryeo is a remake of the popular Chinese drama Scarlet Heart (Bu Bu Jin Xin) and tells the story of a modern day woman (IU) who travels back in time to the Goryeo era and gets romantically involved with several princes.

Scarlet Heart: Goryeo is scheduled to premiere August 29 on SBS.

Skipping the trailer as I want to go in mostly unspoiled. I’ve seen the Chinese version though, so the premise is familiar. Hopefully Scarlet Heart is different enough to keep me from comparing.

Of course, I haven’t seen the Chinese version, but from what I’ve read and seen of the two, it looks likes the Korean version will be pretty different. I hope that’s the case to avoid too much comparison (and I would like to check out the Chinese version at some point). I really hope you end up enjoying the k-version 🙂
