Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Ju Korean Drama - Lee Sung Kyung

Lee Sung Kyung (Doctors) has been offered the lead role in the new MBC sports drama Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Ju. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Ju is inspired by the story of Olympic gold medalist Jang Mi Ran. The drama will be set on a college campus and tell the story of athletes trying to achieve their dreams.

Lee Sung Kyung is up for the role of Kim Bok Ju who is talented at weightlifting. She has a tough exterior, but is shy and sensitive.

Nam Joo Hyuk (Cheese in the Trap) has also been offered the role of a swimmer at the campus. The drama comes from the writer of Oh My Ghostess and High School King of Savvy.

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Ju is scheduled to premiere in November on MBC.

    As it will not lift a weight. It is extremely thin almost anorexic 🤔

      Hopefully if she accepts, she will do some training since there are very small women who weight lift. Adding even a little muscle would help fit the part better.
