Jin Goo Offered Lead Role in Korean Drama Wanted

An offer is out to Jin Goo (Descendants of the Sun) to star in the new SBS thriller Wanted. Kim Hyun Joo (I Have a Lover) was also recently offered a leading role. Wanted is about a popular actress who is forced to do “missions” on a live television show after her son is kidnapped in order to meet the kidnappers demands. Jin Goo would play a violent crimes unit detective who is determined to solve the case while Kim Hyun Joo would be the actress.

After the drama Deal recently lost it’s timeslot due to casting issues, Wanted has been quickly ushered in as a replacement. Hopefully, casting is finalized soon as it looks like Wanted may be on an even tighter schedule than Beautiful Mind which has had it’s share of troubles getting going.

Wanted is scheduled to premiere in June on SBS.

Update 5/12/16: Both Jin Goo and Kim Hyun Joo have declined their offers and will not be appearing in Wanted.

This actually looks like it might be really good… if they can put it together fast enough. 🙂

  I really love this premise! If executed well, it could be really exciting. We’ve got a couple dramas running on tight schedules now, but hopefully they get this one together soon since I think it has a lot of potential 🙂

I am so so glad he’s getting more attention nowadays! Hopefully we’ll be able to see him in his next drama pretty soon 😀

  Me too! I know he’s pretty busy right now, so he may not take this role. I hope he does, but even if not, I’m pretty sure he will have a lot of options for his next drama 🙂

    Yes he is probably quite busy now with all the buzz DotS generated. Indeed and let’s hope he’ll pick a great one for his next project!

      Yeah, I think he’s working on a movie right now, but I would love for him to get a drama with an interesting premise like this one 🙂
