Mirror of the Witch Korean Drama - Kim Sae Ron

The new JTBC fantasy romance sageuk Mirror of the Witch (also known as Witch Bogam)starring Yoon Shi Yoon (Flower Boy Next Door) and Kim Sae Ron (High School Love On) has released a second teaser trailer.

It expands on the scenes from the first trailer with a bit more footage of Yoon Shi Yoon and Kim Sae Ron running through the woods.  We also see some of our supporting characters.  It looks gorgeous, and I’m anxious to see more!

Mirror of the Witch is a fantasy romance sageuk about the Joseon royal physician (Yoon Shi Yoon) known as the father of Eastern medicine.  He becomes involved with a cursed princess (Kim Sae Ron) who has been turned into a witch.

Mirror of the Witch is scheduled to premiere May 13 on JTBC.

This drama is becoming more interesting to me with each trailer. I’m not a big Yoon Shi Yoon fan because I first saw him in Baker King, Kim Tak Goo, where he was overshadowed by second lead Joo Won, whom I adore. However, he was rather adorable in Flower Boy Next Door and Me Too Flower, so I want to see more of him. He has such a baby face, I think he will look great with Kim Sae Ron, in spite of her young age. Plus, fantasy romance sageuks are one of my favorite genres.

I’m very excited for the fact that it is a fantasy romance sageuk! There needs to be more of those 🙂 I’m also a big Yoon Shi Yoon fan. I saw him in Flower Boy Next Door first, and he completely won me over. That drama is one of my top 5.

Then I watched King of Baking because of him. That decision worked out doubly well because I really liked him in it, but it also introduced me to Joo Won. I wasn’t sure how I felt about him at first, and Joo Won’s character took some warming up to, but I eventually grew to love him, and his incredible acting ability left me in awe. And now they are both two of my favorite actors 🙂

I also loved Yoon Shi Yoon in Me Too Flower (which is a very underrated drama). I’m excited to see his first role in a sageuk, and I too think he looks great with Kim Sae Ron. I’m very interested to see what this drama has in store.
