Nam Goong Min to Star in Korean Drama Beast’s Beauty

Nam Goong Min (Remember: War of the Son) has been confirmed to star in the new SBS weekend drama Beast’s Beauty. Beast’s Beauty tells the story of a man who has a difficult life. He is a wrongly convicted ex-con turned human rights lawyer who also becomes a chaebol heir. The drama comes from the writer of Rooftop Prince and Girl Who Sees Smells.

Ha Suk Jin (D-Day) has been offered the role of Nam Goong Min’s half brother. An offer is also out to Baek Jin Hee (My Daughter Geum Sa Wol) for the leading lady role who will be in a love triangle with the brothers.

Yea! I’m thrilled to see Nam Goong Min in a leading role. It is well known what an amazing villain he plays, but I was hoping his recent success would open up opportunities to take an official leading role. And it looks like it has! I also really like this writer, so I’m excited to check out this drama.

Beast’s Beauty is scheduled to premiere in May on SBS.

Yes, heard and talked about it too on my blog. Thanks for the information on the writer. I’m a fan of Rooftop Prince and Girl Who Sees Smells. This one should be good. Plus Ha Suk-Jin? Woah! as for Baek Jin-Hee as the lead, not sure I like this one. But since nothing has been confirmed I hope they’ll select someone else, if not well, I’ll stiill watch it anyway!

  I’m so excited for this too! I’ve loved Nam Goong Min in everything I’ve seen him in, and I’m so glad he’s getting to be the lead 🙂 And I love the writer, so that gives me a lot of hope that the drama will be solid.
  I’ve only seen Baek Jin Hee as a villain in Empress Ki. I really liked her in that sort of role, but I can’t compare it with anything else. Like you, I will watch this no matter who they cast though 🙂
