Ji Sung Confirmed to Star in Korean Drama Entertainer

Ji Sung (Kill Me, Heal Me) has confirmed he will star in the new SBS drama Entertainer (Ddanddara). Entertainer is about a manager who was once in charge of the top entertainment agency in Korea, but now represents rookies in his own small agency. As a group of rag-tag musicians is assembled, he learns what it really means to be a manager. Ji Sung will play our manager.

I love warm-hearted, underdog stories, and this drama fits that perfectly. I’m more than thrilled with Ji Sung as the lead and can already picture him as this character. I’m so glad he’s coming back to our screens!

An offer is out to Hyeri (Reply 1988) for the leading lady role of a young woman who becomes part of the band and has a relationship with the manager. An offer is also out to CN Blue’s Kang Min Hyuk (Heirs) as a band member that will have a bit of a bromance with Ji Sung’s character.

Chae Jung Ahn (Yong Pal) has been confirmed to be a manager at another entertainment company. The drama comes from the writer of Pretty Man and Birdie Buddie.

Entertainer is scheduled to premiere April 20 on SBS.

Yes…I’m excited for this! Ji Sung was great in Protect The Boss… Which was also a light, funny show. Also, I’ve loved PD’s previous shows You’re Beautiful and King Of Dramas.
I hope they go for someone else for the female lead.

  Doesn’t this look so fun? Ji Sung is high up on my favorites list, and I loved him in Kill Me Heal Me, Protect the Boss, and Secret. I could see him in this role the moment I heard the description. I too have loved the PD’s previous works which is wonderful.
  I like Hyeri fine, but I’m not sure about the pairing with Ji Sung. I’d probably prefer another actress. Plus, Hyeri is recovering from a severe illness, and this drama is going to start filming immediately. I would seriously worry about her if she were to take the role.

    Yes…her health should come first before anything.
    I did like her in AM88 but wasn’t too impressed. Now that she has confirmed this show…let’s hope it’s a good one. I’m also not sure about the pairing.

      Yeah, I’m pretty excited about this one. I’ve read mixed reports about who has the loveline. A lot of them mention it will be between Hyeri and Kang Min Hyuk. That might be better. I would like Ji Sung to have a loveline though. I guess we won’t have to wait long to see though since this one is coming up fast!
