Moon Lovers Korean Drama - Ji Soo

Ji Soo (Sassy Go Go) has been confirmed to be in the new SBS drama Moon Lovers which is a remake of the popular Chinese drama Scarlet Heart (Bu Bu Jin Xin).  Ji Soo is set to play the 14th prince who had a very different childhood from the rest of his brothers.  He received a lot of love and will be very fun and likable.

Well, I know I’m excited!  I’m on the Ji Soo bandwagon after Angry Mom and Sassy Go Go.  I’m thrilled he has signed on to such a big production even if it isn’t the lead role.  It also sounds like we will get a change in character and get to see more of his fun side.  And we know he is quite adorable when given the chance.

We also have news of an offer out to IU (Producer) for the role of the leading lady who travels back in time to the Goryeo era.  I’m neutral when it comes to her as I’ve enjoyed her in her previous roles, but I don’t actively seek her out.  She seems like she would do fine with this type of role.

Lee Joon Gi has also been offered the lead role of the 4th prince, Gwang Jong (born Wang So), whose character is cold and calculating.  Still hoping he accepts!

Also, recently signed on is Kim Sung Kyun (Reply 1988) to play a government official.

Moon Lovers tells the story of a modern day woman who travels back in time to the Goryeo era and gets romantically involved with several princes.

Moon Lovers will premiere sometime in 2016.
