Go Soo and Jin Se Yeon Confirmed to Star in Korean Drama Flower in Prison

Flower in Prison Korean Drama - Go Soo and Jin Se Yeon

Go Soo (Empire of Gold) and Jin Se Yeon (Inspiring Generation) have confirmed they will star in the new weekend MBC sageuk Flower in Prison.  Flower in Prison is about a woman named Ok Nyeo (Jin Se Yeon) who was born in prison and her rise to success.

The drama will deal with the Joseon legal system in a time when ordinary people were unable to understand the law and the people who act as intermediaries to help them.

This drama doesn’t sound particularly appealing to me.  I’m not a big fan of legal dramas, especially in a sageuk.  I do see some nice potential if it focuses a lot on the common people and their struggles as they try to navigate the legal system.  I know there will be some of that, I just don’t anticipate it being enough for me to want to check it out.

Flower in Prison is scheduled to premiere in March on MBC.
