Madame Antoine Korean Drama - Jung Jin Woon and Jang Mi Hee

Jung Jin Woon (Marriage Not Dating) and Jang Mi Hee (Unkind Women) have joined the cast of the new JTBC drama Madame Antoine.  They will be joining our lead couple Sung Joon and Han Ye Seul.  Jung Jin Woon will play a former athlete with Jang Mi Hee as a psychological evaluator at a therapy center.

This will be quite the noona romance with Jung Jin Woon at 24 years old and Jang Mi Hee at 57.  I like noona romances, but this big of an age gap will require some good chemistry to pull off, even if it is on the comedic side.  This makes me want to tune in just to see how things go.

Madame Antoine tells the story of a fake fortune teller (Han Ye Seul) who has the ability to read other people’s feelings and a top psychologist (Sung Joon) who is amazing at his job, but is insensitive to love.  The two will be involved in a “psychological game” with each other as they fall in love.

Madame Antoine is scheduled to premiere in February on JTBC.

To be frank, I’m not a huge fan of noona romances as I don’t understand how the female leads can tolerate the immaturity that comes with the guys…lol
And whoa! That’s some huuuuge age gap we have here…

Haha, I generally like noona romances. I think it’s because in the dramas I’ve seen the guys are usually nicer from the start when they are younger, and I do prefer nice guys.

It is a big age gap in this one! I’m a fan of the old movie Harold and Maude though, and that was a 60 year age gap…whoa!

Jang Mi Hee doesn’t look her age, so it really comes down to chemistry for me.

Yes…it’s true that guys are nicer in noona romances…their plus point.
I just don’t get how a girl can be with an immature guy…but then, we have seen so many man-child heroes in dramaland so that should not be a surprising thing…hehe

Haha, but in many stories the younger guys are mature, sometimes more mature than the woman (like in Witch’s Romance) but here I agree that the age gap is ridiculous. Even if it was a 57 year old man and a 24 year old woman I would find that ridiculous. Too much is too much. Come on!

Glad to see JJW but I wish he was with someone younger. up to 34 years old would have been ok.

Yeah, it seems like most of the noona romances I have seen the guy was pretty mature overall, like in I Hear Your Voice. He was more mature than a lot of the rich chaebols in most rom coms.

I’m hoping they go for a strong comedy angle in this since the age gap is so big. I guess we’ll see 🙂
