Korean Drama Update for March 2026

March was a busy month as I got in season 3 of Penthouse: War in Life to wrap everything up, checked out the mystery romance Link: Eat, Love, Kill, and discovered a nice surprise in Chinese action romance Speed and Love. Here’s how it went:

Penthouse: War in Life 3

The Penthouse: War in Life Korean Drama - Uhm Ki Joon, Lee Ji Ah, Yoon Jong Hoon, Bong Tae Kyu, Shin Eun Kyung, Yoon Joo Hee, Eugene

Season 3 of Penthouse: War in Life jumps back into the story following the aftermath of the cliffhanger ending of season 2. It isn’t long before things get crazy again. There are a lot of fun new plot developments, and we also get a few new characters joining the group which definitely spices things up.

Penthouse 3 continued the fun with another exciting ride. It stayed true to form by continuing with its angsty and over-the-top-nature. The pacing kept things exciting while taking a few extra moments to develop the characters more deeply. I had so much fun with this entire drama, and the show wraps up our story nicely. I was never bored for one second and was always excited to continue. It was truly a treat for a makjang lover like me. (Penthouse: War in Life 3 Review)

Link: Eat, Love, Kill

Link: Eat, Love, Kill Korean Drama - Yeo Jin Goo and Moon Ga Young

Link: Eat, Love, Kill was such an enjoyable drama! It starts off with a very quirky, slice-of-life vibe as it introduces us to a mystery from the past as well as one in the present. It blended the romance, humor, and mystery extremely well and seamlessly transitioned between them. I really loved the setting in a small area of the city which really gave great small town vibes.

There were a lot of dynamic characters played by actors that gave wonderful performances. Despite some serious communication issues, I really enjoyed the romance between Yeo Jin Goo and Moon Ga Young who shared a unique emotional connection. At times, the show felt like a playful, cozy mystery while at others it got quite serious. I’m glad I finally got around to watching this one. Overall, I thought Link: Eat, Love, Kill was such a well done drama. (Link: Eat, Love, Kill Review)

Speed and Love

I came across the Chinese drama Speed and Love by accident when the thumbnail poster grabbed my attention with its dark and moody romantic vibe. And I loved it! It pulled me in right from the start and held my attention all the way through. This action romance feels kind of like if you set The Fast and the Furious in Thailand and added in a sizzling romance between a sweet, bubbly woman and a brooding, tortured man.

Speed and Love has top notch production with gorgeous cinematography and a great soundtrack. I loved the story, the setting, and all of the interesting relationships. It was full of heart and emotion, and I had so many feels throughout the show. And of course, the romance was so heart-fluttering in the best kind of way. This is definitely one of my favorite cdramas that I’ve watched, and I’m so glad that I gave this one a chance. (Speed and Love Review)

I watched No Tail to Tell, Our Universe, and Boyfriend on Demand – all ok to pass the time but nothing stands out about any of them.

Dropped The Practical Guide to Love and Still Shining.

Very swept up in the Cdrama world lately – watched Lighter and Princess, Love Story in the 1970s, My Boss and the insanely good Pursuit of Jade (MUST WATCH). I’m now scouring all the best of lists out there to continue my Cdrama journey and the watchlist is once again packed 🙂

I just love your sudden descent into the world of cdramas 😅 It’s like when we first start watching kdramas, there’s this huge backlog of amazing dramas to watch. Now, you get to do that all over again with cdramas since a lot of the bad ones kind of fall to the bottom and get forgotten. I hope you find lots of amazing dramas on your new packed list! 😊
