Again My Life is about a prosecutor (Lee Joon Gi) who is killed while investigating a corrupt politician, but he is then transported back in time where he gets a second chance at life and getting justice.

Lee Joon Gi plays Kim Hui Woo who is a passionate public prosecutor. He sets out to take down a corrupt politician, but he is ultimately murdered. He then gets the opportunity to go back to his college days and start anew as he sets an intricate plan in motion to get justice.

Lee Kyung Young is Cho Tae Seop. He is the corrupt politician who wields immense power with far-reaching control of the government.

Then we have Kim Ji Eun as Kim Hui Ah. She is the daughter of a powerful business family who becomes close with Hui Woo during their college years.

Again My Life is the dramatic tale of one man’s mission to get justice. After meeting an unjust death, we watch as Kim Hui Woo finds himself back in time reliving his life. But this time, he is tasked with being prepared and doing what’s necessary to take down the corrupt Cho Tae Seop.
The drama mixes business and political maneuverings with suspense and action. There is also a bit of humor and heart. The story begins by showing what leads to Kim Hui Woo’s death, and then we go through a setup period after he is sent back in time.

I would say the drama is interesting from the beginning, but it does take a little time to get going. I think after we get through the setup college years and on to Kim Hui Woo becoming a prosecutor again, things begin to really pick up. With all of his knowledge of the future, he is able carefully maneuver the politicians and government officials like they were pieces on a chess board which is very entertaining to watch.
Rather than going up against Cho Tae Seop alone this time, Hui Woo is able to slowly build up a team of allies. He helps people change their futures for the better which allows him to develop solid friendships with people who want to help him too.

Lee Joon Gi was perfect for this role with his commanding yet approachable presence. I was always curious to see what kind of trap Kim Hui Woo would set next on his mission. Lee Joon Gi also always delivers when it comes to action scenes, and that was very much on display here.

On the negative side, the drama was a little heavy on the business politics for my tastes. There’s a lot of it, and it only grows as the series progresses. Sometimes it was a bit difficult to keep track of who everyone one was with so many prosecutors, politicians, and business people. And all of that business maneuvering can feel a bit dull at times with a lot of repetitive and similar types of scenes.
Also, I would have liked to have gone a bit deeper with some of the good supporting characters including Hui Woo’s family. But there are so many corrupt characters, and there is so much going on with them that the most of the focus stays there. Even so, I still found the story engaging and was interested to see what was going to happen.

All in all, Again My Life was a good ride. It has a well thought out story with high stakes. Though the business politics were on the high side for me, there was suspense, drama, and action. Lee Joon Gi gave a great performance and was more than enough reason to enjoy this series.
My Rating: 7/10
