August gave me the historical investigative rom-com Secret Royal Inspector and Joy as well as the spy action comedy Undercover High School. Here’s how it went:
Secret Royal Inspector and Joy

Secret Royal Inspector and Joy was a fun drama. It’s a lighter historical with a lot of humor, but it still has a solid overarching story with a more serious side. We watch as Yi Eon and Jo Yi begin working on cases together, and what appears to be simple turns out to be part of a much larger conspiracy.
The romance is cute and fun, and there is a great ensemble cast with a lovely bromance and girlmance. It wasn’t anything revolutionary and is pretty simple for the most part, but the story was engaging enough. I enjoyed it all the way through. (Secret Royal Inspector Review)
Undercover High School

Undercover High School was a fun drama. It’s a mixture of genres with action, humor, mystery, and romance. It really was a little bit of everything, and that always kept things interesting. The pacing was pretty good all the way through with a decent story that had consistent new developments.
A lot of the fun centers around Seo Kang Joon being an agent having to go back to high school and all that entails. We get a lot of comedy from Seo Kang Joon’s NIS team and a nice slow burn romance too. Nothing gets too crazy, but it delivers an entertaining experience and was a good time.
