Gong Yoo (Goblin: The Lonley and Great God) and Bae Doo Na (Kingdom 2) have been offered lead roles in the upcoming Korean drama The Silent Sea (or The Sea of Silence). The Silent Sea is a sci-fi thriller about a future earth where severe food and water shortages have resulted from changes in the land. Looking for solutions, a team goes on a mission to an old research base on the moon to collect samples.
Gong Yoon would play a team leader in the Space and Aeronautics Administration while Bae Doo Na’s potential role is unknown . The drama comes from the writer of Mother.
The Silent Sea is planning to be 8 episodes and will air on Netflix.
