Yang Se Jong (Thirty But Seventeen) and Woo Do Hwan (Great Seducer) have confirmed lead roles in the upcoming JTBC historical drama My Country. Yang Se Jong will play the son of a powerful general who can’t stand injustice while Woo Do Hwan (Great Seducer) will play a man hoping to pass the military exam. I’m really excited to get a chance to see Yang Se Jong in a historical. Woo Do Hwan should be a good fit too. And I really love complicated friendships!
My Country follows the story of two friends where one is the son (Yang Se Jong) of a powerful general who can’t stand injustice and one wants to pass the military service exam, but corruption by his father affects their friendship. The drama comes from the writer of Master: God of Noodles and the PD of Just Between Lovers.
My Country is planning to air in summer 2019 on JTBC.
