Son Ye Jin (Crash Landing On You) has taken a lead role in the upcoming Korean drama 39. 39 is about 3 friends who are about to turn 40 and follows their romances and everyday lives. She will play one of the friends who is a dermatologist.
The drama will have 12 episodes and comes from the writer of Encounter and the PD of Run On.
39 hopes to air in late 2021 or early 2022 on JTBC.
Yes, it is a good concept 🙂 Encounter was a mixed bag for me with elements I really liked and others not so much.
I actually just finished Run On, and what do you know, it was a decent watch for me 🙂 A rare slice of life drama that clicked, hehe. I was pretty worried after reading your review before I started it, and while we definitely had some similar thoughts, I connected quite well with the two main leads and found them very natural. So that worked for me.
Interestingly, I expected a lower score from you from the review, but then you gave it a B. I consider that the equivalent of my 7 which is what I gave it. So our thoughts on the drama have some differences, yet we seemed to have arrived at the same place 😂
