It sure does seem like the number of dramas premiering every month just keeps going up! We have lots of new dramas to choose from in October with the premieres of lots of romantic comedies, a thriller, and a crime drama. Let’s see what we have to look forward to in this October 2017 edition of “Korean Dramas You Need to Be Watching.” This monthly series is meant to keep you updated on what’s happening in the world of Korean dramas so that you don’t miss out on anything!

1. This Life is Our First
I’m most looking forward to this cohabitation drama starring Lee Min Ki and Jung So Min. I think they will be a wonderful couple, and I can’t wait to watch them bicker their way to love. It also comes from the writer of a drama I love dearly, Ho Goo’s Love. So here’s hoping they can recreate the magic!
This Life is Our First is a romantic comedy about a man (Lee Min Ki) who is house poor that ends up living with a woman (Jung So Min) struggling financially and has no where to live. The drama will focus on relationships in modern society.
This Life is Our First is scheduled to premiere October 9 on tvN.

2. Go Back Spouses
Go Back Spouses tells the story of a husband (Son Ho Jun) and wife (Jang Na Ra) that regret getting married and don’t get along with all of their fights being like a full on battle. But they get a second chance at love when they are both transported back in time to their college years.
Go Back Spouses is scheduled to premiere October 13 on KBS.
3. The Package
The Package is about a group of very different people on a guided tour in France. It’s a heartwarming drama of people connecting as they deal with unexpected events. Lee Yeon Hee is the group’s tour guide with Jung Yong Hwa as a man who was recently dumped by his girlfriend. Also starring Choi Woo Shik.
The Package is scheduled to premiere October 13 on JTBC.
4. Revolutionary Love
Revolutionary Love is a romantic comedy about a goodhearted chaebol heir (Choi Siwon) who hides his status by living among normal people in the same apartment complex as a woman (Kang So Ra) who works many part time jobs but just can’t seem to land a permanent one.
Revolutionary Love is scheduled to premiere October 14 on tvN.
5. Black
Black tells the story of a grim reaper (Song Seung Heon) who falls in love with a human woman (Go Ara) while inhabiting the body of a man. But as punishment for breaking the rules, all records of his existence are erased from the world.
Black is scheduled to premiere October 14 on OCN.
6. Witch’s Court
Witch’s Court follows the story of a prosecutor (Jung Ryeo Won) who works on a team that deals with child sex crimes and a rookie prosecutor (Yoon Hyun Min).
Witch’s Court is scheduled to premiere October 9 on KBS.
7. Buam-dong Revenge Social Club
Buam-dong Revenge Social Club is based on the webtoon of the same name about three women that team up to get revenge on the people who did them wrong. It stars Lee Yo Won (Night Light) as a chaebol heiress, Ra Mi Ran (Laurel Tree Tailors) as a vendor at a fish market, and Myung Se Bin (First Love Again) as a housewife.
Buam-dong Revenge Social Club is scheduled to premiere October 11 on tvN.
8. 20th Century Boy and Girl
20th Century Boy and Girl follows the friendships and love lives of thirty-something women. Starring Han Ye Seul and Kim Ji Suk.
20th Century Boy and Girl is scheduled to premiere October 9 on MBC.

9. While You Were Sleeping
While You Were Sleeping is about a woman (Suzy) who sees terrible things that will happen to people in the future through her dreams and a prosecutor (Lee Jong Suk) who tries to prevent them from happening.
While You Were Sleeping airs Wednesday and Thursday on SBS.
10. Temperature of Love
Temperature of Love is a romantic comedy about a woman (Seo Hyun Jin) that wants to be a screenwriter who develops an online relationship with a chef (Yang Se Jong). The drama follows their story as well as the stories of those around them.
Temperature of Love airs Monday and Tuesday on SBS.

Live Up to Your Name
Live Up to Your Name is a fantasy medical drama about a Joseon doctor (Kim Name Gil) skilled in acupuncture that time travels to the present and finds himself at odds with a doctor (Kim Ah Joong) who only believes in western medicine.
Live Up to Your Name airs Saturday and Sunday on tvN.
Lingerie Girls’ Generation
Lingerie Girls’ Generation is based on a novel of the same name about teenagers growing up in the 1970’s after a girl from Seoul transfers to a rural town. Starring Lee Jong Hyun and Bona.
Lingerie Girls’ Generation airs Monday and Tuesday on KBS.
Hospital Ship
Hospital Ship is about doctors on a medical ship that travels to rural villages on islands. Kang Min Hyuk plays a warmhearted doctor on the medical ship with Ha Ji Won as a surgeon who joins the ship after experiencing difficult family circumstances.
Hospital Ship airs Wednesday and Thursday on MBC.
