Kdrama Kisses

The first trailer for the new MBC drama Come Here and Hug Me starring Jang Ki Yong (Go Back Couple) and Jin Ki Joo (Misty) has definitely piqued my interest! It starts out showing the younger versions of our couple in a beautiful and bright setting that depicts their young love.

But then the music screeches and changes as the camera pulls out to show the scene on a TV. The TV is then smashed as shards of glass scatter and we see a creepy Heo Joon Ho (Ruler: Master of the Mask) holding a weapon in a dark room. Jang Ki Yong and Jin Ki Joo sit huddled together on the floor in fear. But he looks at her lovingly and promises to protect her. Wow, that trailer really set some high emotional stakes!

Come Here and Hug Me follows the story of a man (Jang Ki Yong) whose serial killer father murdered the father of the woman (Jin Ki Joo) he loved when they were young.

Come Here and Hug Me is scheduled to premiere May 16 on MBC.
