Korean Drama Update for April 2022

I got in the romantic comedy Let Me Your Knight for the month of April which was a fun watch overall. Here’s how it went:

Let Me Be Your Knight

Let Me Be Your Knight has one of those silly-sounding romantic comedy premises that I just can’t resist. A woman pretending to be a doctor and secretly living in a boy band’s dorm to treat one of them members? Now that’s just primed for hi-jinks!

The drama has a light and fun feel with a sprinkling of heavier topics throughout. We do get plenty of fun with Yoon Joo living with Luna and all of the awkward situations that come with it.

Let Me Be Your Knight is pretty standard fare from a story perspective, but it executes everything pretty well. There’s humor, romance, music, heart, and a side of angst. It all made for an overall fun watch. (Let Me Be Your Knight Review)

So how was April for you?

Happy drama watching to everyone!

I finished one drama in April 2022
25-21 – a great coming of age story with unnecessary contemporary timeline and an ending that felt forced, rushed, and not organic to the story. Wonderful performance of Kim Tae Ri.

I heard similar things to your experience about Twenty-Five Twenty-One. I’m glad you mostly enjoyed it though. I do have it on my watch list 🙂

    Finished in April:

Forecasting Love and Weather – not as good as I was hoping but an ok watch.

2521 – Exceedingly good but not a fan of the ending, would still highly recommend.

Business Proposal – easily one of the fun, fluffy, rom-coms of the year, could have used a couple more episodes as the ending felt rushed.

Soundtrack #1 – wanted to love it because I love PHS but found it meh. Thankfully only 4 episodes so didn’t take up a lot of my time.

Pachinko – as good as everyone says it is. Heard there’s a season 2 in the works. I didn’t read the book but someone who did said there is a lot missing in the drama so makes sense there would be a season 2.

Currently watching – Mr. Sunshine, Once Again, Crazy Love (loving this!), and Abyss.

Looks like a pretty solid month for you Kate 🙂 A few dramas that you loved with a couple of so-so ones thrown in. All are on my watch list with Business Proposal hopefully coming up soon.

Best of luck with your currently watching list!

Turns out I didn’t watch much in April. I should have finished 2521 but I kinda lost interest and stalled around mid point. Happens quite often these days. I also decided to wait till Grid was done to pick it up again, so… 🙂

I did tackle one drama though, Japanese Cold Case S3. It had been sitting pretty on my List for ages and looked like a good option when nothing else seemed to catch my fancy. A pretty standard procedural (which I tend to like) but a well made one with a good cast. Most of the cases were interesting enough as well.

At least you had one success as Cold Case sounds like it would be great for you 🙂 Hopefully, Grid holds up for you when you pick it back up.
