Moonshine Korean Drama - Yoo Seung Ho and Hyeri

March gave me the historical drama Moonshine starring Yoo Seung Ho and Hyeri which I found very entertaining. Let’s see how it went:

Moonshine Korean Drama - Yoo Seung Ho and HyeriMoonshine

Moonshine is a fun historical that I really enjoyed.  It has unique premise with it being set during Joseon’s prohibition and the story heavily revolving around that topic. The drama has nice, steady pacing with an interesting story and plenty of action to keep things exciting.

Yoo Seung Ho and Hyeri were both fantastic in their roles, and I quite enjoyed their romance as well as their individual stories. There was also a great cast of supporting characters that were memorable. Moonshine really is the kind of historical that I love and was a great watch all the way through. (Moonshine Review)

So how was March for you?

Happy drama watching to everyone!

Well, I managed to bag two crime shows, both great in their own way. 😁

I loved ‘Under the Skin’! It was such a well written and executed drama with a likeble cast of characters. I’ll probably rewatch it at some point. ‘Through the Darkness’ is a lot darker but an interesting one all the same and Kim Nam Gil is SO good in it. Definitely a top tier crime kdrama, though rather harrowing due to the subject material.

A big yay! 2 shows is great 🙂 I’ve heard such good things about Through the Darkness and Kim Nam Gil. Probably a bit too harrowing for me, lol, but I’m always thrilled to hear a drama being well received. And that you found a couple to enjoy for the month 😊

I finished one drama in March, Nokdu Flower. It was my second time watching it, and it was as powerful as ever. One of the best historical dramas, with consistent writing, engaging characters, and an important history lesson.
I have Through the Darkness on my list. Has anyone seen Nobody Knows?

Hi Snow Flower – I have Nobody Knows on my list because of Kim Suh Hyung. I hope to get to it in a little bit.

I’ve got Nobody Knows on my list too. Been meaning to watch it for a while now and there might just finally be a slot for it soonish.

I’m glad your re-watch of Nokdu Flower went so good. It’s a very well done drama indeed 🙂 Looks like I’m like everyone else and still have Nobody Knows on my list. I’ve heard lots of good things about it 🙂

Kay – I have Moonshine on my list when I next get in the mood for a sageuk.

I watched a lot but also dropped a lot in March. I also enjoyed Under the Skin and I am currently watching Through the Darkness which is also very good. I am in the middle of Business Proposal which is quite funny. But I am right now enamored of the cheesy, tropey, sappy and totally sweet Be My Princess. BMP is definitely not for everyone but I am loving it.

I do hope you enjoy Moonshine when your up for a new sageuk. I had a really good time with it 🙂

Business Proposal is on my shortlist of dramas that I will hopefully get to soon. Is Be My Princess a cdrama? I’m up for cheesy and sweet these days, so that might be something I would be interested in 🙂

    Finished

Ghost Doctor – don’t love medical dramas but Kim Bum/Rain pairing was fantastic. Would really like to see them do something together again.

Lady and the Gentleman – don’t know why I ever started watching and soooo glad it’s finally over!! One of the worst things I’ve seen in a while but I must have liked something about it since I stuck it out for 50 episodes when I normally drop but I seem to have a soft spot for these family dramas.

To the Beautiful You – I’d put off watching this for a long time because of what happened to Sulli but I’m glad I finally watched it, cute and sweet story.

Currently watching: Once Again, Business Proposal, 2521, Forecasting Love and Weather, and Mr. Sunshine.

Lots of dramas completed 🙂 Happy to hear the Kim Bum/Rain pairing was so good. It definitely sounds like Lady and the Gentleman was a slog to get through. You did stick it out though, so like you said, something must have kept you going, hehe

I’ve got To the Beautiful You high on my list of older dramas. Hoping to watch it sometime this year.

Business Proposal is on my upcoming list. Let me know how the other dramas go 🙂

Hi Kay. Moonshine is on my list to check out. After the red sleeve, no new kdramas interested me. I only ended up watching one in the end and that was an old drama called Longing Heart. It was a time travel drama but it was nicely done and I enjoyed it very much. I did check out your review about it and it looks like we had same thoughts about this drama. 😀

Hi D! I think a lot of people had a similar experience after watching The Red Sleeve, hehe (it’s on my list! 🙂 )

And I’m so glad you enjoyed Longing Heart! Yes, it’s such a nice drama and very underrated. I was excited to see it pop up on Viki recently. Hopefully, more people will get a chance to watch it 🙂
