Gong Yoo (Goblin: The Lonley and Great God) and Bae Doo Na (Kingdom 2) are all set to star in the new Korean drama The Silent Sea (or The Sea of Silence). The Silent Sea is a sci-fi thriller about a future earth where severe food and water shortages have resulted from changes in the land. Looking for solutions, a team goes on a mission to an old research base on the moon to collect samples.
Gong Yoo will play the team leader with Bae Doo Na as an astrobiologist on the team. Also in the cast is Lee Joon (My Father is Strange) as another team member who is an engineer. That’s quite the cast we have for this one!
The Silent Sea has plans to air on Netflix.

Okay, have to admit this is a story you don’t really see very often in Korean dramas. And with a cast like this you can’t really go wrong now can you? Definitely looking forward to this one, that’s for sure😊
