Crash Landing On You Korean Drama - Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin

The popular drama Crash Landing On You starring Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin has broken tvN’s drama ratings record by achieving the highest ratings ever on the channel! It enjoyed a solid run with ever increased ratings and then pulled in its best numbers yet during its finale week.

It brought in 17.1% for episode 15 and then jumped to a whopping 21.7% for episode 16. Quite the achievement for sure! Congratulations to the cast and crew for such a successful drama.

Crash Landing On You tells the story of a wealthy heiress (Son Ye Jin) that crash lands in North Korea while paragliding. She then meets a North Korean officer (Hyun Bin) who tries to help her by hiding her, and they eventually develop feelings for each other.

It is a drama that has everything: swoony romance (2 of them!), heartwarming friendship, tension and intrigue, and hearbreak too! I am not too happy with one of the choices the writer made for the finale, but I discovered that writing fan fiction is a more productive way to cope, rather than being mad at the writer!

Oooh, it does sound like you really loved it 🙂 I’m on ep 11. Enjoying it for the most part though I think the eps are a bit long which makes the pacing slower at times. Love the OTP and their story a lot though. And fan fiction is definitely the most productive way to get the ending that you want, hehe 😉

This drama certainly deserves its high ratings and more. I’m having serious withdrawal symptoms right now and have not felt like this since the beginning days of Kdrama watching.

Aww, that’s so great to hear how much you fell in love with this drama! Calling back to those feels of your early kdrama days is certainly a treat 🙂 It seems like a lot of people had a similar experience. I’m liking it pretty well but not loving it quite like most. I’m always happy to see a drama really take the drama world by storm though and do so well in ratings and with fans 🙂

I thought I would too, lol. I still like it though. I’m on episode 15 now. I seriously think all of the core elements are fantastic, but I think the pacing really suffered from those long episodes. And good pacing is such a key factor for me. Most people didn’t seem to mind though, so I guess it’s just me 😂

Yeah I didn’t have a problem with pacing either. To be honest I thought it was done quite well as I went through each episode without knowing I’m at the end until I got to the end. Enjoy the rest of the episodes. 😀

That’s always a good thing for the episode to go right by and you can’t believe you’re already at the end 🙂 Thank you! It will still be a good one to add to my completed list 🙂

First time to watch a Korean soap opera, with captions in English. The best so far. I cant stop watching it and has to do reruns of my fave scenes. Capt Ri was so good and handsome. It deserves recognition!!!
