Jo Jung Suk Offered Starring Role in “Doctor Playbook”

Doctor Playbook Korean Drama - Jo Jung Suk

The starring role has been offered to Jo Jung Suk (Nokdu Flower) for the upcoming Korean drama Doctor Playbook. Doctor Playbook follows the lives and struggles of doctors, nurses, and patients in a hospital.

It comes from the writer as well as the PD of the Reply series and Prison Playbook. If Jo Jung Suk accepts, he would play the role of a doctor. The show is also said to have three seasons planned.

These medical dramas sure are coming at us at a record pace. Doctor Prisoner, Doctor Detective, Doctor Room, and now Doctor Playbook. And they sure do like to have doctor in their title! Of course, with this writer/PD combo, I would anticipate another down to earth and very slice life sort of drama.

Doctor Playbook is looking to air in the second half of 2019 on tvN.

This seems like the only medical drama that I will excited about since rest of the dramas from the same PD are my favs.

  You definitely know what to expect from the drama with that PD and writer. Probably won’t be enough to get me to break my medical drama hiatus though, hehe

Yes please!! I simply cannot wait for another Jo Jung Suk drama. He is such a great actor!!

I believe that’s just a working tittle. 🙂 Not sure I’m up to another medical drama just yet. We’ll see, I guess

  Guess it depends if they want to keep it tied to Prison Playbook. Maybe they’ll change it. I’m definitely not up for any medical dramas right now. I will continue to be super choosy for when I do finally decide on one, hehe
