Oh, I’m glad there are only three dramas in the new batch that are contenders to be added on the roster; Dance Sports Girls, Encounter and Memories of Alhambra. 😀 (Children of Nobody is already on, so it doesn’t count). No guarantees that I’ll pick up any of them though. Have to see what I make of the first couple of episodes.

We got a little break this month with fewer premieres. Although I’m sure January will make up for it, lol. I’m interested in all three of those dramas too. I hope a couple of them make the cut for you 🙂

Thanks for this post. This post really helps me on top of all the dramas that come out. I’m surprised there are only three new ones this month. Only two I want to check out – Memorie of the Alhambra and My strange hero.

You’re very welcome! Glad it helps 🙂 4 new premieres if you count My Pick with it 🙂 There’s also a little one over on a small cable network that I didn’t include, Coffee Do Me a Favor. Viki’s picking that one up. It was nice that we had less premieres this month though so we can get a bit caught up. I’m guessing January will be overflowing though! I’m super excited for My Strange Hero and Memories of the Alhambra. Both look wonderful and have actors I enjoy in them 🙂

o ops 4 – thanks for pointing it out. 🙂 See? even with these posts I’m confused – lol!!! Yes – I did see the coffee one on Viki. Since that one is available on Viki, I will check it out.

Anyway, I am currently watching ‘The Girl Who Sees Scents’ and I’m loving it so far. Next on my list is ‘Love Alert’. I’m dying to watch ‘Boyfriend’ because I have waited so long for PBG’s next drama and I’m hearing good things about it. I’m going to hold on until it finishes as I have a feeling this will be one of those dramas that I would want to binge watch.

I noticed you are watching ‘Devilish Joy’. I hope you are liking that one as I liked that one a lot.

Yeah, I’ll probably check out the Coffee one too. I’m hoping it ends up having a good message like My ID is Gangnam Beauty. Plus, it’s short and looks cute 🙂

Oooh, yay that you’re enjoying The Girl Who Sees Smells! I just happen to be re-watching that one right now with my mom. It’s my fourth time watching it, and I still love it 🙂

I’m also so impatiently waiting to watch Boyfriend. It looks gorgeous and like just my kind of drama. I’m very interested to see how fans react to it along the way. The last two dramas from this writer were not that well received. But I loved both of them so I’ve been pretty optimistic for Boyfriend. Of course, I’ll be waiting to to watch until closer to the end too.

Yes, I wanted something lighter and went for Devilish Joy. I’m on ep 11 and have found it pretty enjoyable. It’s nothing revolutionary, but it’s a very easy watch. I love Choi Jin Hyuk and Song Ha Yoon. And Hoya is just hilarious! It was a perfect follow up to The Smile Has Left Your Eyes and Where Stars Land 🙂

Hi, Kaye. I would just like to say this first before you make the December Update.
I was hoping you can make an updated Top 10 dramas you have watched. Make it Top 30 if you can. Would love to see that list! HAHAHA.

Just to add. I am hoping we are still on the same page about My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho being the best of all time! HAHAHA.

And yes, we are definitely still on the same page! My Girlfriend is a Gumiho is still the uncontested best drama of all time! I seriously can’t imagine it would be possible for a drama to ever top that for me. It deserves its place on top! 🙂

Haha, well, I do believe my top 10 dramas are still the same as they are in my 10 Best Korean Dramas list. The last drama to crack the top 10 was Shopping King Louie in 2016. It’s a tough list to sneak into, hehe 🙂

I double checked and I listed my top 30 for you in a comment on my Shine or Go Crazy review if you just want a good list. Now it would probably have a few adjustments, but would mostly be the same. I have plans for a couple other top 10 lists (like top 10 music dramas). If I can ever get around to them, lol

Wow! I am amazed that you remember that. I completely forgot that you already mentioned your Top 30. My brain is really bad at remembering even the most basic details. LOL. Will check that list again. Thanks, Kaye!

Haha, well, that one was easy for me to remember since I don’t get too many requests for my top 30 😉 Maybe sometime I’ll put together an actual post or something, hehe

Yes December here it is! I am sorry for late comment. Hehehe. Better late than not commenting at all, right? Hmm, so for this month, I am torn between Boksoo’s Back and Memories of the Alhambra because both look like fun and very promising. The one is romcom and other is a romance fantasy. Two different genres yet both are interesting to me. And I love both Jo Bo Ah and Hyun Bin, so it really is too hard to decide. Well, I’m picking Boksoo’s Back because it is a romcom. 😀
Of course, will surely watch Alhambra and Dance Sports Girls. 🙂

No worries, the post was here ready and waiting for you 🙂 I was also torn between those two for my pick. But ultimately my soft spot for Yoo Seung Ho won out, hehe. Yes, very different dramas but both with a lot of potential in their genre. And great actors all around. We’ve really got some promising ones this month 🙂

        Yes yes.
By the way, I am searching for fans who are also currently watching Happy If You Died (or Feel Good to Die). I really reaaaally love it, so far. I am still on the 12th (or 6th) episode, but I can already say that it is a great and amazing drama. Haven’t watched Ground Ground thingy (and not a fan of Hollywood movies too) so this one feels refreshing and awesome for me. 🙂

Yes, it would be good if you could connect with some other fans of the drama. I really liked shows that use the stuck in a time loop/living the same day over concept. I’m not much into newer Hollywood movies either, but I enjoy some older ones and have liked movies that have done this. And a drama sounds perfect to use the concept 🙂

Yes I agree. By the way, I like Gong Myung ever since his Entertainer (8/10) days. But he kept on accepting roles that I did not get to like. From Bride of the Water God (which is too bad enough for me to drop 😦 , to Revolutionary Love (6.5/10). So this time I would love to root for his character. But then I couldn’t ignore Kang Ji Hwan because he’s just too great for his own character also and I enjoy him with Baek Jin Hee more.

And also I have noticed that you already finished Devilish Joy so I am anticipating for its review so that I could decide whether or not to give that drama a priority. 🙂
And you are currently watching Bad Papa. Wow! You really are a big fan of Hyuk. I believe you have watched almost all of his dramas. Haven’t seen him in the Dramaland yet, except for some glimpses of him in Fated to Love You because it was aired and dubbed in our country’s television before when I wasn’t a KDrama lover yet. So I am excited for my first Jang Hyuk experience. Could you recommend a few of his best dramas to me?

      Liked by 1 person

      1. Kay Avatar

Yep, just finished it last night and am already working on the review 🙂 Haha, yes, I’m a big fan of Jang Hyuk! He’s one of the most talented actors by far. He’s an actor that communicates so much emotion just through his eyes. Not many truly excel at that. He also goes all in to all of his characters. His stage presence just commands your attention too. I’ve seen a lot of his dramas, but he’s been around a while so there are a lot of his early works I still need to see.

Ooh, it’s hard recommending a Jang Hyuk drama because I could practically recommend them all just based on his performance, lol. Then he just has such a varied collection of work. Of course, Fated to Love You is my favorite of his, and it really shows his comedic side. His revenge melo earlier this year Money Flower was a truly outstanding performance and the drama itself is quite brilliant. You have to like the genre though. Most people would recommend his historicals, Chuno and Tree With Deep Roots. I liked them but, I would recommend Shine or Crazy more since it was more to my tastes as I don’t usually go for the more serious historicals. I’m seriously about to recommend you 3 more if I don’t stop though, lol. If the ones I mentioned don’t sound appealing to you, I’ll keep going 🙂

I loved Gong Myung in Entertainer too! That was my first time seeing him, and I thought he was great. Haha, yeah, you must have really disliked Bride of the Water God to drop it. I liked it okay as well as Gong Myung, although his character wasn’t particularly likable. I liked him in Revolutionary Love too, but as we know, that drama was also a bit problematic. Oh, he’s also really good in Drinking Solo. More the typical sweet second lead. So I was glad to see him take the role in Feel Good to Die. I really would like him to get a lead role though so he can shine.
