Seo In Guk (Shopping King Louie) has been offered the starring role in the new tvN drama Hundred Million Stars from the Sky. Hundred Million Stars From the Sky is a remake of the Japanese drama of the same name about a detective who becomes obsessed with solving a college murder case. Things become personal when he realizes he may have a connection with the mysterious man who is the main suspect and the detective’s younger sister also begins a relationship with the man. The drama comes from the PD of Oh My Ghostess.

I haven’t seen the original version of this drama, but I was pretty intrigued with the premise when I heard a Korean remake was coming our way. And I sure would love to see Seo In Guk star in this! His potential role has not been specified, but it sounds like either of the male lead roles would be a good fit for him.

Hundred Million Stars from the Sky is looking to air later in 2018 on tvN.

Naw….this is a premise that sounds too dark for me…I don’t like the fact that there probably won’t be any comedy in it. Oh well……😂😂😂
Seriously….this sounds cool! If done well, this could end up being a very interesting series: looking forward to it! 😊😊

Darn, I need to do a better job and find you some more comedies ASAP! 😉

But yes, I think this could be a great one for you. From what I know, the Japanese drama is actually very dark, much more so than even the basic plot describes. It sounds like it would be a better fit for OCN. But tvN does a lot of really great dramas, so I’m anxious to see this one develop 🙂

Well that’s exactly what went through my head as well. Why isn’t this an OCN drama. Not that I am complaining as those are usually not available for me. So I’m hoping that because of this I am able to see it. And dark is good (well for me it is any way lol).
Looking forward to those comedies you will find though 😂😂

Yes, luckily tvN is at least a cable station which I think will be a better fit for this drama. And they tend to make high quality dramas. It’s a complete toss up as to who will get it though. Lately, their dramas have been pretty divided between getting picked up by DF, Viki, and Netflix. Netflix would be the best option for you of course. But at least there’s a chance!

Oh yeah~ It has an interesting plot, and I haven’t seen any JDramas yet… Hoping to see Seo In Guk in this!

Yes, this one sounds so interesting, and I really want to see Seo In Guk in it too 🙂 I’ve only seen a few jdramas as they just don’t usually appeal to me like kdramas. But if you ever want to check one out, since you like a lot of rom-coms, I would recommend My Little Lover to you. It’s super cute and only 10 eps 🙂

Ah Sora Kara, one of the better Takuya Kimura outings. 🙂 The original is from 2002 and I guess it was pretty dark and twisty for that time but probably not so much these days. Still, I do wonder if they are really going to include the Big Twist though (which actually isn’t all that hard to detect if one pays attention 😉 ). Japan has been known to be more willing to tackle controversial subjects than Korea, someow I just can’t see tvN going there. OCN maybe…

SIG is too young to play the detective, who in the original was in his 40’s. In all likelyhood he’s been offered to do Ryo, Kimura’s char in the original. Could be interesting to see SIG take on a character who is several shades darker than Lee Hyun in IRY. If the whole military service debacle hasn’t put his acting carreer on ice for the time being.

Yeah, I thought OCN sounded like a better fit for this drama too. But even if they tone down the darkness, tvN could definitely do something good with this one. I wouldn’t mind seeing Seo In Guk playing either character, but I too think I would much more interested in seeing him play the darker, mysterious character. I just know how amazing he would do with that. But yeah, I’m afraid he’ll end up turning it down because of the military thing. Even though the drama wouldn’t likely air until the second half of the year, it would still overlap with what his serving time would have been. It’s a shame since I know he would do a drama like this justice.
