Voice Korean Drama - Jang Hyuk and Lee Ha Na

Another season 2 is in the works in Dramaland! This time it’s for the hit OCN crime thriller Voice starring Jang Hyuk and Lee Ha Na. Voice is about workers at a 112 emergency call center who have had family members murdered by a serial killer. While on the hunt for the killer, a “Golden Time” team is established to rescue crime victims in the golden window of time before they are likely to be killed.

As of now, none of the original cast is confirmed, so it looks like we will have to wait and see whether this will be a continuation of the original story or a spin off with a new cast. Of course, I’m always hoping for the original cast to return. Only time will tell!

Voice 2 is looking to air in 2018 on OCN.

Hmm if I remember correctly this drama was a bit of a disappointment for you wasn’t it? It seems to me that all of a sudden more and more Korean dramas are getting a second season. Don’t know if this is a new trent 😊

Yep, it was one I was disappointed in. Serious lack of character development and back story. But it was good at delivering some thrills and creating tension. The villain was excellent too. So if they get the same cast back, I would probably check it out. The odds will definitely decrease otherwise, lol.

But yes, it does seem like kdramas are starting to get in on the second season trend. I think it will work well with crime shows, especially since there are a lot of them. Thankfully, we haven’t seen them try it with any standard rom-coms or melos. Sesason 2’s can just ruin genres like that, lol

Yeah, that’s the point, a lot of season 2’s also seem to get a different cast every time. While it still might be a cool series, some casts just are too powerful to forget (Descendants of the Sun for instance).
Still second seasons can be fun if they are done well, but yeah I have also seen quite a few that ruined the original show and what was fun about it 😢

Any more word on the casting for second season? It deserves a second for all those reasons you mentioned about the first, right? Only other drama that left me hanging in similar fashion was Signal, which definitely should have continued. Thanks again for all your hard work, K, you keep the fires burning. 🙂

No word yet. I’m definitely keeping an eye on it though. Really hoping they can get Jang Hyuk and Lee Ha Na back. It just wouldn’t be the same without them. And thank you so much for the encouraging words 🙂
