Sound of Your Heart Korean Drama - Kim Byung Ok, Jung So Min, Lee Kwang Soo, Kim Day Myung, Kim Mi Kyung

The Sound of Your Heart is a comedy web drama that follows the life of a cartoonist (Lee Kwang Soo), his family, and his girlfriend and the crazy situations they constantly find themselves in.

The Sound of Your Heart has the feel of a sitcom that features episodic adventures of a family. The drama is pure comedy, and boy is it funny! Much of the comedy is very ridiculous and on the exaggerated side, but if you like the style, the drama completely nails it.

It also parodies a lot of popular kdramas as well as classic kdrama tropes throughout the series. I always love it when shows poke fun at these sorts of things. And this family gets into all kinds of crazy situations. Most of the fun comes from just how absurd they are.

Sound of Your Heart Korean Drama - Lee Kwang Soo

Every person in the family in The Sound of Your Heart was perfect in their roles. Of course, Lee Kwang Soo is the star, and he is just so much fun! His comedic timing is impeccable, and he was wonderful in this series.

I really love both Kim Byung Ok and Kim Mi Kyung who play his parents. These two talented actors can really do it all. And we round out our cast with Kim Dae Myung as his brother and Jung So Min as his girlfriend who are also very entertaining.

The Sound of Your Heart is a simple comedy drama. As to whether or not you will enjoy it heavily depends on your comedic tastes. Luckily, it was a style that I love. It’s fun and ridiculous in the best way possible. And if you already enjoy any of the actors, it’s just icing on the cake. I would love to see more comedy dramas such as this in the future.

My Rating: 7.5/10

Web dramas can definitely be hit or miss, and I don’t watch that many of then either. But yeah, if the ridiculous comedy is your style, it’s very fun 🙂

Yes, give it a look. It’s short and fun, and you’ll definitely know within the first couple eps if it’s something you will like 🙂

I would try this one out, just because of Lee Kwang Soo. Even though it’s a comedy which usually isn’t for me.He really was so good in the innocent man and puck!. But seeing this is a webdrama, I won’t be able to see it. Still glad to see you enjoyed it, and as always a great review 😊

It perfectly showcases Lee Kwang Soo’s comedic abilities 🙂 Very heavy on the crazy comedy, but a lot of fun. Netflix picked this one up as an original series. Did you check to see if it’s on there in your country?

Yes, unfortunately (or should I say as usual lol), it isn’t available here. Oh well…who knows, maybe in a few months it will be 😊

Well, darn. It seriously feels like Netflix has a whole different set of shows for each of our countries 😛

Try looking on eBay. I have found DVDs of shows not available on the streaming services.

I really loved this show. Lots of laughs and still excellent in the scenes without the comedy. . I believe it’s my first time seeing Lee Kwang Soo. He was very good. And of course Kim Byung Ok and Kim Mi Kyung. Both favorites of mine. I would of liked to see the romance developed a little deeper.

Yay that you loved this one! It really is hilarious with so much good comedy. All of the cast was great. Aww, you’re first time seeing Lee Kwang Soo! He’s really good and so funny. He doesn’t do a lot of dramas, but I watched him for years in Running Man first, so I love it when he actually does one 🙂

Major disappointment!! I was so looking forward to see the Sound of Your Heart, Reboot. I expected it to be a continuation of the story line with the same cast. It was not to be. The story seems to be a continuation of the original story but with a totally different cast. I left crying (figuratively) after just seeing the first episode.

I know! Yeah, it was so disappointing when they announced the casting plans for the sequel. We all wanted the original cast back. I haven’t even tried the sequel because I was so bummed. Maybe someday, but I heard it wasn’t very good anyway, lol.
