Chicago Typewriter Korean Drama - Yoo Ah In

New trailers have been released for the upcoming tvN drama Chicago Typewriter starring Yoo Ah In (Six Flying Dragons) as a bestselling author, Go Kyung Pyo (Jealousy Incarnate) as a ghostwriter, and Im Soo Jung (Time Renegades) as an anti-fan.

These trailers finally give us a little bit of a look into the actual drama itself. We see some pretty humorous encounters between Yoo Ah In and Im Soo Jung. He seems to see her as a stalker fan while she tries to convince him otherwise.

We also get our first tiny snippet of the 1930’s portion of the drama. As all three of our characters encounter the mysterious old typewriter in the present, the drama flashes to the 1930’s where we get a quick look and Yoo Ah In and Im Soo Jung. I love it! I’m really looking forward to seeing how everything ties together.

Chicago Typewriter follows the modern day story of a bestselling writer, a ghostwriter, and an anti-fan who are reincarnations of writers from the 1930’s during the Japanese occupation. The drama comes from the writer of Kill Me, Heal Me and Moon Embracing the Sun.

Chicago Typewriter is scheduled to premiere April 7 on tvN.

It really does. It looks pretty quirky with a fun twist with the different timelines 🙂

I said it before, but I really like the 1930’s time setting. There are very few dramas set in that period, so it will be interesting to see how this is going to be worked out. The trailers are short, but interesting enough to get you excited for the series 😀

There really needs to be more set during that time period! There’s many reasons I’m excited for Chicago Typewriter, but that’s definitely a big one 🙂 I do have another 1930’s drama on my list that I may try to get in even before I watch this one. Happens to be by the same writer too 🙂
