The new thriller Defendant premiered this week, and it came out of the gate strong in Nielsen drama ratings. It debuted with a strong 14.5% for episode 1 on Monday. It then brought in 14.9% for episode 2 on Tuesday.

Hwarang saw a nice increase from last week bringing in 11% for episode 11 on Monday and 10.5% for episode 12 on Tuesday.

This week brought us the finale of Night Light. It saw a slight increase to 4.1% on Monday for episode 19. It then brought in 4.3% for episode 20 on Tuesday.

I’m thrilled to see Defendant bring in such high numbers so quickly. I hope it’s just the start of a solid run from the show.

Next week brings us the premiere of Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People starring Yoon Kyun Sang and Chae Soo Bin.
