It looks like Jung Il Woo, who recently starred in the adorable romantic comedy Cinderella and the Four Knights, will be beginning his mandatory military service in December. He will be enlisting as a public service worker due to health issues. It is well known that Jung Il Woo suffered severe injuries in a 2006 car accident along with his friend Lee Min Ho.
But it was just recently revealed that Jung Il Woo has been diagnosed with a cerebral aneurysm after dealing with chronic headaches. Cerebral aneurysms are enlarged blood vessels in the brain that carry the risk of rupture and bleeding which can result in stroke or death.
I am so saddened to hear this news. Cerebral aneurysms can be extremely serious and are definitely not to be taken lightly. Apparently, Jung Il Woo would likely be exempt from even serving as a public service worker with this condition, but as of now, he wants to serve.
I just hope that he and his doctors really keep a close eye on this and adjust his activities accordingly. This is just such heartbreaking news and my thoughts and prayers definitely go out to him.

I liked this post first, and than I decided there is nothing to like about a post like this, so I changed it again. This is really sad news indeed. I don’t know the actor yet (at least I don’t think I have seen him appear in any of the K-drama series I have watched to date) but it is always sad to see someone as young as him, diagnosed with something like this. Really sad news indeed. I hope that nothing serious is young to happen to him.

Yes, I was very sad to hear about this. It’s sad when anyone gets a diagnosis like this, but it just seems to hit harder when it’s a younger person like him. I just hope he and his doctors really take it seriously and make sure he gets the care he needs. If he is able to serve in the military as a public service worker than great, but his illness should definitely be carefully considered. Hoping for the best for him though.

I hope so too. Amazingly they can do a lot these days when it comes to medical things, so you never know.

It really is. I know some people with aneurysms can go on for a really long time with no major issues if they keep an eye on it and take care of themselves. Hopefully, he’s in that group.

I can only hope that the military reconsiders Jung Il Woo’s health and grants him an exemption. The fact that he wants to do public service with his heath in such a precarious state really speaks to a high moral character. I will pray for him and his doctors.

I think it would be pretty easy for the military to grant the exemption if he did another official examination. But as for now, that doesn’t sound like the plan. I just hope everyone involved is really keeping an eye on everything, and I only wish the best for him.
