Kim Yoo Jung Joins Park Bo Gum in Korean Drama Moonlight Drawn By Clouds

Kim Yoo Jung (Angry Mom) has been confirmed to be starring in the new KBS saguek Moonlight Drawn By Clouds along with Park Bo Gum (Reply 1988). She will play the girl who cross-dresses as a man in order to keep her identity hidden and eventually ends up in the palace as a eunuch who gives out love advice.

Well, I definitely like Kim Yoo Jung, so I’m pretty happy with this casting. Although way to pretty too be a boy, I think she will be quite adorable. Her and Park Bo Gum should also make quite a cute couple.

Yook Sung Jae (Village: Secret of Achiara) has been offered the role of the prince’s rival. Chae Soo Bin (Sassy Go Go) is also considering the role of the crown princess to Park Bo Gum.

Moonlight Drawn By Clouds tells the story of a prince (Park Bo Gum) who falls in love with his eunuch who is a girl (Kim Yoo Jung) disguised as a man that gives out love advice in the palace.

Moonlight Drawn By Clouds is scheduled to premiere in August on KBS.

  True, but it is supposed to be a “youth romance” so she seems to fit the age. And Park Bo Gum looks so young. I’m hopeful for a good pairing 🙂

Hmm…I don’t know if I like this casting…maybe it’s more to do with the fact that I haven’t seen her in anything yet. But what’s this new wave about young actresses (or child actresses rather) being cast as leading ladies…I was mostly shocked with Kim Sae Ron being cast as YSY’s heroine..!

  She’s been good in everything I have seen her in so far. I really enjoyed her in Angry Mom last year. I wasn’t too surprised with this one since the age gap is only 6 years, but I was a little surprised with the 14 year difference with Yoon Shi Yoon and Kim Sae Ron. But they are both talented actors, and so far I think they look quite good together.
  
  There does seem to be a wave of casting teen actresses lately. At least I know these actresses are competent so I haven’t been worried much about the performance suffering 🙂
