Favorite Kdrama Kisses: Yong Pal – Chapel Kiss

The Yong Pal Chapel Kiss happens in episode 8 while Yeo Jin (Kim Tae Hee) and Tae Hyun (Joo Won) are chatting in a lovely little chapel. Yeo Jin wonders if Tae Hyun really would have left her if she hadn’t called him. He playfully asks why she called him and what she plans to do with the people responsible for her coma? She then jokingly declares she pressed the wrong button when she called. The two enjoy a nice laugh together.

They then take on more of a serious tone. Yeo Jin says that he told her she could only make one call, and if she could only call one person, that person would be him. Sweet music begins playing in the background as he smiles at her tenderly and then gently takes hold of her hand, reassured of her feelings for him. Their eyes meet as he begins to slowly lean in. She closes her eyes as she receives his kiss. The camera pans out to reveal the entire chapel. At least for the moment, our couple is at peace.

Haven’t seen Yong Pal but love this moment. Also “at least for a moment, our couple is at peace”. 😀

  This really is a very sweet moment and one of my favorite during the series. And yes, it is a brief moment of peace for our couple before more challenges come their way, haha.

Joo won is my favorite actor in Korean Dramas. But I absolutely did not care for Yong Pal. I felt their loyalty (the writers) switched sides midway through filming and went from Joo Won camp over to Kim Tae Hee’s Camp. He was the star, but she ended up with the glory. I felt he was dumped by all in favor of her…..Something happened in the middle of the show and for me it sunk into the deep. Joo Won deserved better treatment. I just wonder how he felt about it?

  I absolutely love Joo Won too 🙂 Sorry you didn’t care for Yong Pal. I actually liked it pretty well overall. But like you, I didn’t love how Joo Won sunk into the background in the second half. Kim Tae Hee’s character was also never very likable for me. But I still liked the story pretty well. I wonder how Joo Won felt about it all too.
